General Notes
Antlerite was identified by W. Hanold and Joy Désor in April 2021 by SEM-EDS and Raman spectroscopy (https://www.mindat.org/locentry-1437293.html; accessed April 2023). The antlerite occurs as a microcrystalline encrustation on a specimen of cerussite that bears an old Mineralien-Niederlage, Freiberg label.
While the occurrence of antlerite at Tsumeb is entirely plausible on geochemical grounds, there is no mention of it in the peer-reviewed literature and questionable status is retained pending further information.
