Jamesonite

Jamesonite from Tsumeb is listed on Mindat on the basis of a single specimen formerly in the collection of Rob Woodside and now on display at the Royal Ontario Museum in Toronto ( https://www.mindat.org/locentry-13351.html; accessed April 2023). The specimen is described as "… fine needles of metallic gray black [jamesonite]… with tennantite and iron-stained carbonate".

The means of identification of the jamesonite is not stated and there is no record of jamesonite from Tsumeb in the peer-reviewed literature. Questionable status is retained for jamesonite from Tsumeb pending further information.
