General Notes
Hinsdalite is a member of the beudantite sub-group of the alunite group of minerals and is the phosphate analogue of hidalgoite (Back 2022).
The occurrence of hinsdalite was reported by Joy Désor in 2022 (https://www.mindat.org/locentry-1499508.html; accessed January 2023). The mineral was identified by EDS and Raman spectroscopy. However, no details of the paragenesis have been provided and questionable status is retained pending further information.
