General Notes
Euchroite was reported for the first time from Tsumeb by Bowell and Mocke (2018), based on semi-quantitative EDS analysis of a specimen purchased in 1990 (by Bowell) which he believed to have been collected from the mine dumps in the 1960s. The analysis published by Bowell and Mocke (2018) appears to have too high a Cu:As ratio for euchroite, and structural (XRD) confirmation would have been desirable. Furthermore, the provenance of the specimen appears to be somewhat equivocal.
The occurrence of euchroite at Tsumeb is considered questionable pending confirmation.
