Description

Essentially a single mineral specimen of beudantite, comprising a crust of intergrown platy, yellow-brown microcrystals on which a later generation of larger crystals has formed. The larger crystals are superficially chocolate-brown in colour but, under magnification are seen to consist of dark brown cores with yellow-brown or yellow outer zones.

The specimen was formerly in the Pinch Collection and is attributed to 36 Level, West 12 in the second oxidation zone according to Pinch's label.

Compare TSNB656 and TSNB941, both of which are believed to be from the same occurrence.
